Using the app on your phone

Find your way around the phone layout — the bottom tabs and where desktop-only pages live under More.

On a phone, rentJz swaps the desktop sidebar for a bottom tab bar with five tabs, and groups everything else under More. This article covers what each tab shows.

Steps

  1. Use the bottom tab bar to move between Today, Dues, Beds, Helpdesk, and More.
  2. Today is your dashboard — collections so far this period, quick actions, and tenants who need attention today.
  3. Dues lists tenants by payment status, so you can collect rent or send reminders.
  4. Beds shows your buildings, rooms, and beds, and lets you add new ones.
  5. Helpdesk shows open tickets raised by tenants.
  6. More holds everything else: PG profile & settings, Today's food menu, Tenant directory & KYC, Payments to confirm, Accounting, Debts, and Notifications, plus sign out.

Good to know

  • On desktop, the same pages are reached directly from the sidebar (Overview, Inventory, Collections, Tenants, Settings, and so on) — the phone's More tab is where they're grouped instead.
  • When you drill into a screen from a tab (for example, opening a tenant from Beds), your phone shows a back button in place of the tab bar.
