Online (UPI) payments
Let tenants pay rent via UPI directly to your account, then confirm each payment yourself.
Once you add a UPI ID, tenants can pay their rent straight to your bank account and tell you they've paid — you then confirm it against your bank statement before it's marked paid.
Steps
- Open Settings (phone: More → PG profile & settings) and set your UPI VPA and UPI payee name, then select Save changes.
- When a tenant pays, they use their own UPI app (or scan the QR code on their invoice) and then select I’ve paid, optionally entering the UPI reference (UTR).
- Open To confirm (phone: More → Payments to confirm) to see payments awaiting confirmation, with the tenant, period, amount, UTR, and when it was submitted.
- After checking your bank statement, select Confirm to mark the bill paid and generate a receipt, or enter a reason and select Reject if the payment doesn't match.
Good to know
- The money goes straight to your own bank account — rentJz never holds or moves it.
- Leaving UPI VPA blank turns off online payment; tenants then pay you directly and you record it yourself.
- A rejected payment notifies the tenant to retry; it doesn't touch the bill.
