Debts
Track money you owe — suppliers, loans, or people — and record repayments.
Debts is where you track money you owe, separate from your accounting income and expenses — a supplier's credit, a loan, or money borrowed from someone.
Steps
- Open Debts (phone: More → Debts).
- In Add debt, fill in Owed to, Kind (Supplier, Loan, or Personal), Amount (₹), and Taken on; Due by is optional.
- Select Add debt.
- To repay it, open the debt and fill in Repay (₹) and a date, then select Record repayment.
Good to know
- A debt shows Overdue once it's past its Due by date and still has a balance; it's marked Settled once fully repaid.
- Debts, and the repayments against them, never affect your Accounting income, expenses, or net.
- You can delete a repayment, or delete the whole debt along with its repayment history.
